Spicy Walnut Garlic Noodles:

These noodles are crunchy, spicy, garlicky, fragrant, acidic, savory and chewy. If you love a combo of different flavors and textures, this noodle dish is perfect for you! It only takes 15 minutes to make this unique noodle dish!

Ingredients

Walnut Sauce

  • ½ cup walnuts chopped
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thai red chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves grated

Noodles

  • 2 servings thick noodles (sliced noodles)
  • 1 ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoon fish sauce
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • walnut sauce
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions for garnish
  • basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil noodles according to package directions and strain noodles.
  • Roughly chop walnuts. In a pot, add oil and walnuts. Then turn heat to low medium and fry until golden. Continue to stir the walnuts around to prevent them from burning. (should take 5-7 minutes)
  • Once walnuts are golden, turn off the heat. Add grated garlic, red chili flakes, sugar and salt. Mix together.
  • To assemble, add noodles to a bowl. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and rice vinegar. Add walnut sauce and mix noodles with all the sauces together.

If you're vegan or vegetarian, you can omit the fish sauce and add another 1 tbs soy sauce.
