You might recognize this famous dish called Ram-Don from Parasite. It is an instant ramen dish made for the Park family using premium beef. The instant ramen used is called Chapaghetti and Neoguri.
The flavor of the two ramens mixed together is sweet and savory! I highly recommend getting premium beef to experience a unique type of meal!
Ingredients you need for your ram-don:
- Chapaghetti Instant Ramen
- Neoguri Instant Ramen
- garlic
- vegetable oil
- green onion
- Rib Cap or Filet Mignon
- soy sauce
- sugar
- oyster sauce
- black pepper
Steps to make the ram-don:
- Step 1. Cut beef in 1 inch cubes. Marinate with ½ tablespoon soy sauce, ½ tablespoon sugar, ½ tablespoon oyster sauce, and ½ teaspoon black pepper for 10 minutes.
- Step 2. Cut garlic in thin slices and fry garlic in 3 tablespoons of oil on medium heat. Keep stirring the garlic until its golden. Set garlic chips aside.
- Step 3. Fry the marinated beef in the garlic oil for 2 minutes on medium high heat. The beef will be medium cooked. Then set aside.
- Step 4. Cook the Chapaghetti and Neoguri instant ramen in boiling water until noodles are tender. Strain most of the water. Leave very little water (3-4 tbs) in the pot and add half of both seasoning packets. Personally, adding all of the seasoning in both of the packets is too salty for me.
- Step 5. Add all the veggie packets from the instant ramen and stir well until all the sauce is incorporated in the noodles. Then add your beef back in.
- Step 6. Top the instant ramen with the garlic chips and sliced green onions. Hope you enjoy!
